The truth is less men in the US anyways attend college. They remain out numbered by females attending college by about 25 to 1.

you would think that was reason alone to get more men into college

So it is worthy of debate. These days the cutoffs scores are so tight that they are not letting any ellie may or jethro clampetts in. You gotta pull grade averages and at least be intellegent. Anyone, boys and girls, can suck a d!ck to get into a community college or beauty school. Takes a 4.0 to get into harvard, yale, juliard, hamline, mit, git, or any other accredited colleges.

and what is the male/female ration at such schools? if i might be so bold to ask...
...changes consistently depending on school. Yale is like 60/40 men. Harvard is 50/50. Most accredited catholic colleges vary. Some are 90% women. Juliard is of course 80% women. There are so many factors involved. The degrees and classes offered. Location. Cost. And the fact that everyones specializing these days. And also who accepts you. People shoot for doctorates in midwestern states to be close to family for those long 7 years. Many state colleges are mixed. Its all so diverse now. It also goes by populace. In some areas like perth australia and atlanta georgia the women to men population is 3 to 1. So it goes to show that local and state colleges would have a higher women to men ratio locally. Again- worthy of debate.

My gut feeling was that the ratio was about 60/40 women/men. Most of what I'm seeing online is more like 55/45.

....irrespective of gender...stop trying to create dramatic debates over gender...
