Not entirely. Facebook is what is called a "social-networking site", where people put up profiles to "network socially". Mingle2 is an online-dating site, where people put profiles to "date online". There's a big difference there, you know?

i could not join facebook cause it denies my email addresses when i try to sign up. I'll just stick with mingle2
