I think that quote could work both ways. We want a partner for companionship and sexual needs, but some of us really do not need that as a constant. It all depends upon the self-sufficiency of the individual. Some of us need a significant other more than others. I wasn't so much thinking of the quote as absolute I was thinking more in "people" terms not gender. It would and could work very well either way male or female and does~ |

Earlier today I was reading and came across a quote that got me thinking "Women need men like a fish needs a bicycle" Now don't ask me who the quote is from as I suffer from most times I remember sometimes I don't. So tell me as we are all here on a friends/dating site Do you want or do you need to have someone in your life and do you believe there is a difference in which terminology is applied to your own situation? It was from Gloria Steinem, a former Playboy bunny and women's rights activist. She was also the editor of MS magazine. |
