Because imagination leads to innovation and discovery! That is why!

well if You think about it without imagination there would be no airplane, no rockets, no telephone, Ipod, etc.

if you think about it you can always ask Why ?

Next time someone asks you a question before you answer think of response and keep askng Why. Once you can no longer ask why, you have your answer, thus Imagination is essential to knowledge for without it nothing would exist.

Wow, is this like your "final thoughts" like on the Jerry Springer Show?

LMAO!

Anywho, I read all the responses and mine is the only realistic one. If this ten year old is your kid, don't let him trick his way out of getting the best possible education that's available to him.

You know what's best for him, I don't need to tell you.

Good luck!

Yeah, but not all kids who drop out of school because they prefer imagination over knowledge get to become great innovators and inventors. Some become pot heads and junkies and waste their whole lives "imagining" and hollucinating things...

It's hard to put any faith in someone who can't even spell their name..I before E....lol, just kidding.

I would have to agree with the majority here. Without imagination, and research, then there can be no growth.

When was the last time any of you guys dealt with a ten year old? I have a funny feeling that this kid was just trying to get out of having to go to school or do his homework. How are you going to use your imagination and conduct scientific experiments and research if you can't even spell, or add or subtract... or do long divisions...? Education first, then imagination!

give him a hug for thinking out of the box so early. i wasn't allowed in the box, and got penalized for not being able to get in the box and be normal.........i'm glad i'm not normal. i wouldn't have invented and engine that runs on nothing but air.
