Here are some quotes I have found helpful in my life. If it's not
otherwise credited, then I (believe that I) was the first to think of
it:

“Forget about income. Worry about outcome.”

“It’s impossible to escape from God. You can’t escape from someone who
isn’t holding you against your will.”

“Science is like trying to put together a puzzle in the dark without
knowing how many pieces there were to begin with.”

“By adherence to a favorite theory, many errors have at times been
introduced into general science which have required much labor for their
removal. To guard against these requires a large proportion of mental
humility, submission, and independence.”
-Michael Faraday

“Science cannot exist in the presence of censorship.”

“In the end, each of us will either say ‘Thank you God’ or ‘Thank you
Odds.’ One of those things is in our favor… "

“But if you can’t understand how God could have created everything in
six days, then grant the Holy Spirit the honor of being more learned
than you are.” –Martin Luther

“There’s not much difference between logic and magic; still less between
poof and proof”

"Man's most trusted instinct is to distrust his instincts."

"The most skilled checkers player is surpassed even by a beginner of
chess."

"The greatest crime is to be apathetic."
