 Do you think there is a chance that love isn't real?

bigsmile Could it just be feelings or chemical reactions or hormones or pheremones?bigsmile
There is some merit to the chemical reactions in the body. I felt them before.....it was like some sort of magnetic force. noway

surprised Wow, the power of attraction was that strong?flowerforyou
ya it was. I would walk into a place and see this person and completely ignore him......but my friends could even "see/feel" it.noway

 Unconditional love—true love—is so different from the kind of love most of us have known all our lives that it deserves both a name—Real Love—and definition of its own: Real Love is caring about the happiness of another person without any thought for what we might get for ourselves. It’s also Real Love when other people care about our happiness unconditionally. It is not Real Love when other people like us for doing what they want. Under those conditions we’re just paying for love again. We can be certain that we’re receiving Real Love only when we make foolish mistakes, when we fail to do what other people want, and even when we get in their way, but they don’t feel disappointed or irritated at us. That is Real Love (true unconditional love), and that love alone has the power to heal all wounds, bind people together, and create relationships quite beyond our present capacity to imagine.

To answer the original question:. Is love real? Oh my YES!!!smitten
There are so many examples I could give, but I offer now just one: A mother's love

I think you need to more operationally define your terms for this question. Otherwise, I will give the Erich Fromm response: Love is the active concern over the growth and well being of that which is loved. In that case yes love is real and demonstrable, but is it the type of love you mean? Otherwise the only way to tell is love is real is when you feel it in your fingers, I feel it my toes, love is all around you and so the feel grows...
