In the beginning, think of it as just a place to meet cool and interesting people...really no different than going to a super market...lots of people here for different stuff....but, if you strike up a bond and form a friendship and affections...then worry about the romantic aspect.

I can tell you that the dating sights do work. I am getting married in September to a very sweet lady.

You just have to put yourself out there and be willing to talk, listen, and date.
In the process I have also made many friends.

It was well worth it.

There are people on my friends list who have met "the one" here. It happens. I'd like to see it happen more often. But I think it helps if you have luck and geography working in your favor, most of the time. Me, I haven't met anyone, but I'm rather selective.



Well, I've met nine people from dating sites (not this one) and eight of them were train wrecks worthy of their very own Richter Scale. I can't comment on meeting anyone from here since I never have.
