Inversive Ammendment

The morbid sting of life's injection
Heralds the prideful mourn of loss,
A stagnant mind bewildered
By the paths that once had crossed.
A vacant vessel laid to rest
As a concience travels on,
Freed from a world of sea
Where illusions there are spawned.

Behind a lightened heart
Is found a beast enraged,
Within a docile soul somewhere
An unseemly war is waged.
The angry heart's eruption
Feeds upon the weak,
Yet unbeknown unto this beast
The mighty hand is meek.

The thoughtless clash of anger
Reeks of mortal sins
While yet a peace inherited
Calls to life within.

Dark and light
Engaged in murderous delusion,
Aversions made yet paths the same
Call to time's allusion.
Where fertile thoughts had fought to grow
Now lies a wasted field
Where once a youth had played in dreams
The fragments lie unhealed.

Recompense is found so useless
While laid upon dead ground,
The strongest of the mighty
Have been slain by words thrown down.

Fear not the judges' sentence
Yet ponder not what's seen
Sift what seems illusion
While a glimpse of truth comes clean.
Though the war is far from over
Amend for what's been wronged
Enlightened by your sacrifice
You'll find what wisdom shall belong.

This is hmmmmmm how to phrase: Deep yet obviously gently smacks me upside the head. At the same time because I'm not sure if I really understand or not,I must now do the work and make sure I truly do understand. Then again, the one it was written for will truly love it, I believe.
