My family and I recently found out that our dog who passed a way over a
month ago died because we were giving her contaminated food without
knowing it. Should my family sue the food makers?

I'm sorry to hear about your dog......I have quite a few pets of my own
here and we were concerned about giving them food that was
contaminated......I don't think you should sue, because they will just
say that it was all over the news......And you may end up wasting money
on a lawyer in the process........If you want to, find a lawyer that
doesn't charge you, unless he thinks there's a case he'll win. Good Luck

i'm betting that there will be a class-action suit. you may be able to
get in on that...

i don't necessarily think it's the right thing, however...

its not worth the time or the money the chances of winning are
1,000,000,000 to 1 and not in your favor

For me that kinda of thing would be hard to do. I mean, our family has
a dog and shes fine, but if that were to happen, I think we would sue.

I am sorry to hear about your dog, however I agree on the note of the
fact that it was all over the news, and unless someone lives where there
is no t.v, nor radio, internet, or newspapers, we all have heard about
it.
On the subject of suing, IMO, there is far to many people suing anybody
and everyone for anything and everything, the world would be bettter
without this going on as rampidly as it does, for gosh sakes seems like
people sue more than they change their dang underwear!

SingleinOhio, I am not referring to you in particular in my statements,
nor am I suggesting you fall into this category, it just simply struck a
nerve with me , as I am someone who was on the other end of the suing
process, and believe when it was not substaniated, it does not feel good
at all, again just my opinionbigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile

That's one of three link to class-action suits I've found. The pet food
industry and its suppliers have a responsibility to ensure the safety of
its products.

I'd be devastated and heartbroken if anything were to happen to my
beautiful "babies," Dahlia and Kohl, but I'd also be INFURIATED if they
died because of outright negligence, and possibly even intentional
poisoning.

Hope this helps and sorry about your poor doggie.

See that's just the thing, we didn't know we were hurting her when we
were giving her the food. She was already gone before the list even came
out. Our vet concluded that the food was the cause and we had switched
foods two months before she died to the contaminated kind ( without
knowing of course ) because she needed to be in a special diet.

No, of course you didn't. You all aren't to blame at all. And they're
still adding contaminated products to the list practically every day.

I worry about feeding my dogs their food, too, even though it's not on
the list.
