I agree with what Carebear and Kojack originally said. Also, if she is a forum poster, you might reference something she asked about or commented on.

Best of luck to you, I hope it works out. flowerforyou

I have mailed my matches... I am just myself. I tell them I'm mailing because we matched, and then I tell them why I clicked on yes. I then say some things that aren't in my profile... and say I hope to hear back from them.

I usually hear back, ummm 25-40% of the time, depending.

Hi... How did this happen? I mean you're 26 and in California, why did you match with a 50 year old guy in Michigan???

True story, only she was 19.

so the spark plug thing is pretty good.

i just wrote to her and basically said that i'd like to get to know more about her.

probably a little bland but....we'll see.

Hey Drew,

new to the site, but what I find works best is compliment the picture, compliment the profile and let her know you have something in common. And in closing always, always wish well.

seemed like people were more interested in saying hello to kojack than in giving advice. no offense to kojack.

could have been worse, i could've mentioned how pretty she was.

It happens.... I might mail four and hear back from one. Or mail four and hear back from four, or none.

It just varies. But it's not like much happens... here I am in a sticky situation where I'm obviously a fvcktard myself....

Hey, If sparkplugs aint her thing, Ask her if she wants to help you move. That's always a popular conversation starter.
