If you click on the link it will take you to a series of profiles. One of them will be the person who said they wanted to meet you through mutual match. If you click yes on that particular profile then you have a mutual match. It's done that way so the person who said they want to meet you will remain a semi-mystery if you say no.
Think about it. If you start clicking yes on a bunch of women, and it is only you that showed up when they get that someone wants to meet you e-mail and you were continually rejected it would not feel very good. |

Just for the sake of answering your question, the way you can make that alert go away is to 'rate profiles'. Usually, the first 2 or 3 will be the profile of the person that tried to MM you. Once you hit 'no' to the profile that MM'ed you then the alert goes away. If you happen to hit 'yes' to the person that MM'ed you then you get a MM alert and their profile shows up in the leftside box.
The process is still anonymous in that you have to rate a few before you hit the one of interest. Unless you rate one, check your homepage again to see if the alert is still there, and keep repeating that process one at a time until it goes away, you will never know which profile MM'ed you. 99 times out of 100 they do not work! The one that worked for me is now my boyfriend. Pure luck and timing was the reason ..... Good luck! |

Hi, nice_fella_22. In addition to the solid advice given above, here is the Mutual Match FAQ page, which might also answer some of your questions:
