What's your opinion on giving opinions? Are you the type person that never fully takes a stance,but rather skirts around a subject, so as not to offend? or Do you just say what you mean and mean what you say (and to heck with what anyone else thinks)? Or do you fall somewhere right in the middle? And why?  I believe that everyone is entitled to my opinion

I normally fall somewhere in the middle. Mainly because I can usually see both sides of any given point. agreed, matches the situation. Some people need bluntness. |

I believe that everyone is entitled to my opinion You're silly.....did you know it was you who spurred this thread into action? Something you wrote about not taking sides? Do we take sides of a subject when we feel strongly about something or do some people just like a good debate? I sometimes see people debating over something and wonder if they really even care about the subject or just want to be right. Other times, you can tell their heart is in it. |

I'm the type of person who thinks that most people's opinions sounds as though they are trying to win some sort of argument.
I'm not much interested in trying to change anyone's mind about any topic at all so I just usually offer up something in a non-aggressive manner and leave it alone. However, there are a few things for which I feel passionate enough about that I'll continue to debate. Even that though isn't with the intent to 'convert' but rather to attempt to show a different perspective. I've a very terse writing style though and although I do try to soften it somewhat, I've been told that it still comes across as rather cruel. That's (mostly ) not my intent.

I have been trained prefessionally to listen carefully before responding. Does this always happen. No...if I am pissed I will let the person know. If I have a strong opinion I will speak my mind.
