Really! I just figured you've been out west all your life. Were you visiting family? My grandfather had 180 acres. I grew up an Air Force brat, lived all over the place. We always went back to Indiana before and after going overseas. (Went to Jr High in Ankara Turkey). I spent one summer of HS living there and working on a dairy farm. That's why I went into health work and fixing computers. Graduated HS in Denver. Got married, then divorced, moved to Cape Cod, live there for 30 years, just moved to AZ last year. |

Good Night Everyone, talk to you all tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good night.

Wow, sounds like you've had a pretty interesting life so far. What was Turkey like? I've always been in this area. It was in the mid sixties. No tv, only one Turkish radio station. I learned to play 5 instruments, read 100s of books. When we came back to the states, I was over a year ahead of the kids in my class. We got to travel a lot. I've been to the Holy Lands, Rome, Athens and have seen the Pyramids. I didn't know anything different because I was a kid, but looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to things. |

Hiya HG!
You've seen the Pyramids! I can only imagine travelling like that! Wow, the things you must have seen! What was your favorite place? |

Hiya HG! You've seen the Pyramids! I can only imagine travelling like that! Wow, the things you must have seen! What was your favorite place? We were in the Holy Lands for 2 weeks. I have great memories of Jerusalem and riding donkeys up to Bethlehem. When I read the Bible, I have these places in my mind because I've been there. It makes it so much more real. |

How were you treated at that time, being an American? In Jerusalem, I mean.

How were you treated at that time, being an American? I had a lot of Turkish friends. We didn't live on base, we had an apartment in the city. They taught me soccer, I taught them baseball. |
