Of course, good luck with trying to get HIM to help do something about the situation there, as he just can't be bothered- he's just too important for such a thing. He's got double-caff-lattes to sip and strip clubs to blow his wad at, you know? And another thing- why should it be OUR responsibility to help with the situation in Darfur, or anywhere else for that matter? After all, we've tried to help the situation in Ethiopia almost thirty years ago... and that hasn't changed things in the least... we've helped with the situation in Somalia... and all THAT did was make the locals down there wanna shoot at our armed humanitarian forces there ("Black Hawk Down", anyone)... and NOW we're expected to help in Darfur, and all because Clueless Clooney and his partners in crime (Brangelina, et all) command us to? Yeah- big laugh on that one- he'd probably be better off trying to get the European Union to help Darfur out. I don't see any half-baked celebs demanding that WE get help for our current economic troubles, or the fact that there are plenty of people HERE who don't have enough to eat, let alone a roof over their heads. And I'd be more concerned about the well-being of people in my OWN country than I would anywhere else. And yet you don't see Clooney or even Kato Kaelin fighting for OUR cause. Perhaps Clooney should stick with his jaunts to the strip club and keep his mouth shut. |

George Clooney donates a ton of money and time to this cause, and he has recruited many of his celebrity friends to donate their time and money as well. Even if he donated everything he had, it's just a drop in the bucket to what is needed. He is encouraging countries everywhere to do something to help the genocide problem there.
