rude don't im if your going to ignore.

Ya but you gotta love those who think you were signed onto Yahoo just twiddling your thumbs waiting for THEM to sign on and start talking to you .. that's how they act.

For goodness sake .. I DO have a life and I am online doing other stuff before they show up, and I'll still be doing stuff when they sign off.

Geesh laugh

Gee whiz, I'm glad I don't have these problems.

This also makes me think of those people who want you to stop chatting with anyone else while talking to them. They don't care if you were chatting with others first. But they get upset if you're paying attention to anyone but them.

I use IM to keep in touch with friends as well as getting to know new people. However, if they do any of the annoying things listed in this thread, they won't be on there for long.

frustrated Am I the only one who gets friggin pissed off when someone on Yahoo Messenger "BUZZ"es me if I don't answer in a given amount of seconds to their comment or question? pitchfork

It's like ... (((( WTF!!! )))) rant rant rant rant

Do they think you sit on the computer staring at their ONE convo box waiting to read the next thing they have to type? frustrated frustrated frustrated frustrated

I will tell a person 1 time not to do that to me. I think it's rude, controlling and self-absorbed. If they do it again .. I'll remind them of what I said the 1st time.

They don't GET any more chances after that .. it's DELETE off my friends list. devil Geesh slaphead .. huh grumble LISTEN why don'tcha?noway grumble frustrated

A lot of Yahoo Messenger spambots and spammers pull that crap as well. I usually just block any one who tries to buzz me.

BTW- I use "Pidgin" for an IM client. It'll work with all IM protocols (yahoo, gtalk, MSN messenger, AIM) and it's all in one package, too. AND it's free!

I use it too. Makes it easier to deal with everything in one client.

Pidgin? It's just a free client that you can use so that everything is in one. Rather than having separate things open for various IM services.
