There is no such kind of relationship, so the question is moot.

I disagree, these types of relationships do exist, I have some friends of mine that are living this "fantasy" day by day and I've witnessed them together etc. and it's awesome. I also believe I'll have the same thing some day, just hasn't happened yet. :)

Did you read what you just wrote?

i would give up my job
With the economy the way it is, and being in a recession that could turn into a depression I would not be so quick on giving that job up if I were you.

It's already a depression, it's just that nobody wants to say the word yet.

Denial is not a river in Egypt.

People do not like to look at the ugly.

The notebook was a good movie

I didn't like the movie nor did I think it was good.! It was so lame and cheezy!

I'm not giving up anything. You either love me as I am, or move on.

YES!! The idea is to compliment; not complicate.

I realize the topic is not, "What if he/she asked you to give up x,y or z -- but I would be disappointed if they asked me to give up something to be with them. I wouldn't ask anyone to give up something for me.

Its just my opinion but I feel blind stupid concession love is for those who haven't discovered their purpose in life.

I'd give up myself to them, but that's it. Take me, as I am, or not at all. Yes, there are some compromises in relationships, but there is a difference in giving something up for someone and compromise.

I've already given up my family, my job, my house, my way of life, and to some extent "me" for a relationship... never again.

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only woman who didn't care for that movie! Of course, I don't like any movie that doesn't have a serial killer or terrifying plot twist. Or a comedy. I like comedies.

I feel you shouldn't "give up" freinds, family, your children, your essence, your religion, yourself, or your purpose for love. I know the OP wouldn't give up and forsake her GOD to be with an arabic sunni muslimi because she loved him, and his religion stated she must do so. I understand her point in this. We all accept change in a relationship. And we all make concessions in a relationship. But should we do so in expectation due to blind love or lack of common sense? I say no.
