A relationship with someone special is the type of goal that every guy or gal strives for because not everyone wants to be alone in life. In some ways if you've been single for a very,very long time then it can sometimes feel like a curse

i dont think being single sucks... until u go outside and see all the other couples walking around and being happy with eachother. and until u turn on the tv and see all the couples doing all the things they do. until u see the e harmony commercials... u get the idea. I agree with you! I never was alone once in my life until my husband passed away. I was 14 when we started dating, got married at 18. I went from my house to marriage. I went through a period of feeling guilty cuz I was kind of enjoying finding out who "I" was, not just a wife, mother, grandma, but "me". I was feeling guilty cuz I am enjoying my new found freedom. I had a wonderful marriage with my true soul mate, yet this new life was exciting. I don't find the need for someone else to fulfill me, I am complete, yet as you quoted, "there are times that being single sucks...." |
