It depends on how far I'm going to have to travel. If they are local I have no problem meeting for a cup of coffee much sooner than I would traveling by plane to meet someone for the weekend.

decide that it's okay to meet face to face? It comes naturally after a certain amount of conversation on the net, and on the phone. There is no set time when, it's different every time.  again!

decide that it's okay to meet face to face? I have spent months before a first meet and I have spent only a few days just depends on the person. I do like to get a feel for them via email... voice chat.. phone and webcam first if they are some distance away. I don't get all worked up about meeting someone for the first time since I look at it as meeting a new friend nothing more. The first meet to me have always been to decide if we want to even date or just keep it to E-friends. |

In all seriousness, I don't think there really is a set time frame. It is up to the people involved. Could be right away, could be weeks or months, could be never!
