Is anybody here familiar with Orland Park? They have a really nice
mall, if you like to spend money, or just watch people -- good stuff in the food court (I particularly like Schoop's), people throw coins into the big fountain in the middle of the mall -- it's a great place to kill a few hours on a weekend! One of my ex-gfs used to work at Hot Topic there (yes, she was a total goth!) so I spent a lot of time in that place, too! Orland Park also has my favorite Borders out of the 20 or so I've been to. There's a little coffee place called Mojoe's on 94th Avenue, a few blocks south of the mall, that has a peanut butter and coffee drink that I really like. I normally don't drink coffee at all, but this thing was actually good and I kind of got addicted. The ex (the one I mentioned above) and I used to spend a lot of time there -- sometimes they even had bands. I haven't been to Mojoe's in awhile, so I don't know if they still have it, but I hope so! Because one day I am going back there! |

Same here, I've actually had to do it a few times with CDs that are
impossible to find here but seem to be readily available in Germany, for some reason -- and I've never had a problem. But I know people who have.... FZ stuff is getting harder and harder to find in stores because he doesn't fit well into any of their preconceived categories -- I still see some stuff at places like Borders, but it's not like it was even 5 years ago when they carried practically his whole catalogue -- try to find "Thing-Fish" or "Lumpy Gravy" in a store now -- A couple of the really good CD stores, the ones where they carried the more obscure stuff, just recently closed down. There's ONE decent one left that I know of in downtown Chicago, on Washington Street, but I wonder how long they'll be there..... |
