I once heard the great Dr John (New Orleans Piano Player) Tell a story about the origins of the term Brain Salad Surgery. In his song ----RIGHT PLACE WRONG TIME---
He says "GOTTA GET A LITTLE BRAIN SALAD SURGERY"
When he was asked what Brain salad surgery meant he explained that when he was in prison guys would say this and it meant ORAL SEX
Apparently Emerson Lake and Palmer heard this hit of DR Johns and they thought this lyric sounded cool so they named there next album BRAIN SALAD SURGERY
Now you all know that it means ORAL SEX IN PRISON
