I am surprised that no one has posted about R. Allen Stanford and his multi billion dollar scam. He is also under investigation for laundering Mexican drug cartel money.

I decided that I would take 5 minutes and see if Mr Stanford had made any campaign contributions in the last election cycle. Low and behold he had.

Since 2000, Mr Stanford has made $921,400 in campaign contributions.

$706,000 to Democrats. $189,300 to Republicans. $25,500 for special interests.

No Money for BUSH.. Almost $7,ooo for Obama.. How can that be?

Notice in 2008, Charlie Rangel got $27,300. I wonder why the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee was deemed so important by Mr Stanford? HMMMM...

So? What's your point? All politicians get money donated to their campaigns. I'm sure if I looked it up I could find a much worse conman who has given much more money to the Republican party. For that matter, Bush Sr. was on the Enron payroll! But that means absolutely nothing!

I'm not saying it's right, but it happens in our capitalist government. Also, $7,000 is not a lot of money at all in terms of campaign contributions.

That's the point!! They're all crooks. They all sell the vacated seats that move into other positions. So, if one goes on trial for it, then the rest that ever sold a seat should, too!!
