Are there places around where you live that you usually take them? Do you do sight seeing? Where do you like to go? What points of interest are in your town/city?

If we have time, we go downtown chicago. It's only about an hour or so away, depending on traffic.

Depending, most people are ok with me taking them to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, South Street (where all the Hippies used to meet), Italien Market, Pats/Ginos Cheese Steaks, and finally buy some on 5th and Indiana.

I work in Akron, home of AA. Recovery addicts, UNITE! laugh

I also am just north of the Football Hall of Fame, an hour south of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, and live wicked close to the Harry London chocolate factory.

Ohio is the heart of it all, don't you know .... (state motto)

In all that driving you could drive across the whole state of RI from east to west and north to south.

Spoiled for choice here!

My town, itself, is a vacation destination. We've a clean creek through town, the mountains, camping, skiing/snow boarding/snow shoeing/sledding, national parks and forests, mountains, abundant lakes and rivers, water sports galore, lots of nearby museums and amusement parks, great shops, heaps of artists and inventors, farmer's market ....

Not much to see here thats very impressive. Casinos, dusty old museum. I have taken friends to see the big cat (lions, tigers, etc...NOT Garfield) farm. I usually travel so am entertained, not being entertained.

Dangit, you just made me think about how badly it sucks here.

Yeah, my aunt and uncle live in your town. How many times can you go to The Golden Corral, anyway? whoa

Still, you've got Carlsbad Caverns a stone's throw. I grew up in there. MANY, many summers in Odessa ....

When people come here, they tend to want to go to DC since it's close by. The National Mall is a big hit, as there's lots of museums. Monuments, too. They also like going to see places like the Capitol and the Library of Congress. Also, the zoo is pretty nice.

I need to visit Chicago again sometime. I went years ago and it rained the whole time.

Not much in Muncie, IN but local mom and pop eateries like Concannons Pastry Shop, Lowreys, QL's BBQ. Don't live to far from INDY though.

I live where everyone goes for holidays in the summer in canada. Summer is beautiful with all of the lakes and sunshine and heat!!! I live below a winery.....the vineyards are beautiful. I would take them on wine tours if they wanted...oh and there is a restaurant here that is medieval and they let you eat everything with your hands!!noway

After that I would take them to various outside venues.....because there is always something happening in the summertime.

and then I would take them to walmart!!shocked
