So i am new to this whole online dating thing. i haven't got as many hits as expected. Is there anything i can do to help that. Am i a bad lookin' guy? Do these things take time? is there ne secrets?

Yes it takes time. Most people say get active in the forums, that way people get to know you.
Rarely do I see any of the ladies that are local to me in the forums, but the forums is where the fun is. |

Get a few pics of yourself up close and with a lighter background. Can hardly make out what you look like. Stay in the forums. I found a guy that I am dating on a site so yes they work.

i agree, you need to stayt active on the boards and that way you are seen more, i think the more you are online with this site the more you come up when ladies are looking. i ahve talked to people all over the world and some of them are very nice, but i have also been stood up by locals. so it takes time, be patient and good luck!!!

Well, you still have the all caps thing going on.... but the most prevalent thing that just jumps out and slaps me in the face about your profile is that you say you are damaged from prior relationships.
That statement alone would keep me from talking to you. Just my opinion.... |

had many of dates on other sites nothing became of it.....
been on here the longest had 1 or 2 dates and finally met a "keeper" i hope.

Fix yourself first before you come here, or anyplace and try to get..."fixed" by finding dates. Most ladies don't want or need to fix anyone that is damaged. Just my opinion, from the peanut gallery. Have fun in the forums, show your sense of humor, start laughing again. Life goes by in a twinkle of an eye.

Yeah, in my experience it tends to be all about the exposure. People get to know you in the forums, and I think once they get a sense of who you are and what you're about, they feel more comfortable writing to you. I never see any of my own locals in the forums, either, but I do get lots of e-mail from people here who live everywhere else! |
