Ummmm, I was excited about your post at first, then as I read on I realized it was actually a guilt trip... that we are supposed to help the asshole?
No freaking way. Helping others is teaching them how to help themselves, and a huge part of folks like this... the best thing is to set up boundaries and cut them out. When there are no rewards (ie attention) received for ridiculous behavior... well then maybe they can sac up and ask for help if they really want it. Plu-ease!!! |

This is "My Take on the Subject" It's the same reason why so many used to listen to Howard Stern..for it's shock value.. Once you figure that part out, then you get upset, they got you hooked in..like a fish! It's human nature, we all want to fit in and be somebody, sometimes there are those who like to "stir the pot"..and make things interesting, it's kind of like the old 15 minutes of fame deal.. It's all about attention, it doesn't matter if it's positive or negative, YOUR being noticed.. As for the No Drama people..thats not really plausible. Everyone has problems, everyone has issues.. problems and issues = drama. the reality is..those who say "no drama"..worry me..after all..a real friend stands by their friends when problems arise, or are faced with difficulties..by saying No Drama..is actually saying.."your on your own"..which is selfish, self-centered and self serving. and means that you've failed kindergarten..because thats where we all learn the valuable life lessons. you know the one about taking care of each other. perhaps the instigators are really calling out for help, because no one seems to care enough to lend an ear and listen..and thats a shame.. Well, thats my take on the subject. think about it.. The best way to deal with those causing drama to get attention is to ignore them. As hard as it may be, that's probably the only way they'll stop. |

Instead of being better than that, you allowed yourself to lower your standards. You just don't get it, do you..? it's called manipulation.. and the only way to beat it is to be a better person and not lower your standards. and be a good example for others to follow.. think it over..long and hard..knee jerk reactions are your weakness.. by getting upset, you make the other person laugh.. |

Sorry I disagree... People are what they are, it is not for us to help them or try to change them into better people... Leading by example does not mean you have to put up with their bs... Leading by example is doing what is right/kind and good b/c you know that's how you're supposed to do it.. THEY should be watching you and LEARNING BY EXAMPLE... Lilith is not weak and one of the sweetest people you'll encounter on her, but like many of us she doesn't deal in BS... Personal choice and that BMW is our right and does not make us week/intolerable nor mean.... |

Tell me about it, I unfortunately got into it with her one of my first posts. She had me back peddling trying to explain my opinions and trying not to be accusatory......it was unfortuantely my open mouth insert foot syndrome going off!!
Have to say love her now though. |

There IS that little devil ( this -->
 guy) on my shoulder who tells me to take obvious jerks down a peg or two. And I'm the same in everyday life. But I don't give this a second thought when I turn it off. Nobodys bothered me a bit on here. Surely not past my reply. This IS only this and not too important, as life goes.
