Much rather have snow. Water content to snow can range greatly. However, snow will melt slowly.

I had just under 15' of snow last year, and rainfall was about under 2' total for the year, of course all at once could be quite interesting. That's what I was sayinghuh flowerforyou

Now some people are really stupid!!!! Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die.

This is so priceless, and so, so easy to see happening, customer service being what it is today.

A lady died this past January, and Citibank billed her for February and March for their annual service charges on her credit card, and added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had been $0.00 when she died, but now, it's somewhere around $60.00. A family member placed a call to Citibank.

Here is the actual conversation that transpired:

Family Member: 'I am calling to tell you she died back in January.'

Citibank: 'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'

Family Member: 'Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.'

Citibank: 'Since it is two months past due, it already has been.'

Family Member: 'So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'

Citibank: 'Either report her account to frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!'

Family Member: 'Do you think God will be mad at her?'

Citibank: 'Excuse me?'

Family Member: 'Did you just get what I was telling you - the part about her being dead?'

Citibank: 'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.'

Supervisor gets on the phone:

Family Member: 'I'm calling to tell you, she died back in January with a $0 balance.'

Citibank: 'The account was never closed and late fees and charges still apply.'

Family Member: 'You mean you want to collect from her estate?'

Citibank: (Stammer) 'Are you her lawyer?'

Family Member: 'No, I'm her great nephew.' (Lawyer info was given)

Citibank:'Could you fax us a certificate of death?'

Family Member: 'Sure.' (Fax number was given)

After they get the fax :

Citibank:'Our system just isn't setup for death. I don't know what more I can do to help.'

Family Member: 'Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. She won't care.'

Citibank: 'Well, the late fees and charges do still apply.' (What is wrong with these people?!?)

Family Member: 'Would you like her new billing address?'

Citibank: 'That might help...'

Family Member: Odessa Memorial Cemeter, Highway 129, Plot Number 69.'

Citibank : 'Sir, that's a cemetery !'

Family Member: 'And what do you do with dead people on your planet???

Had to laugh at this one...had a similar experience with a cell phone belonging to a deceased family friend. Oy, where do they hire these people!?

Common sense & the ability to think is a dead trait for most people, it seems.
Makes me wonder if their parents taught them anything, let alone the school systems.
This "No child left behind", seems to mean they all are ignorant.

A little boy goes to his father and asks 'Daddy, how was I born?'

The father answers, 'Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!
Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo.
Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe.
We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive.
As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall,
and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

The good news is:

I have been accepted for the course I have applied for, starting on Monday.happy

But:

I won't be at home too much since it is an hour on the bus each way, and the bus times are so that I'll be out of the house for about 12 hours each day. That means that I won't be able to see my friends as often as I used to.

but I'm rather on this course than sitting at home all day with nothing to do but apply for the few jobs that are available, and which are usually already taken before they go to the paper.

Thank you, I'm really happy about this.

but I just know I'll be dog tired for a few weeks until I get used to the new schedule.
A friend of mine from the previous course is going too, so I won't feel as much a stranger there.
