Did ya'll hear about the meteor (about the size of a pick-up truck) that fell to earth near us in Dallas? Made me stop & think how lucky we were not to have sustained any injuries or fatalities...

OK...so I'm an astronomical dork...biggrin ...but my Dad was a tech engineer for NASA & Martin Marrietta...so at least I come by it honestly...

Who here watches the sky also?

I do. Funny to think that an asteroid named Eros is one that is being watched as a planet killer could be the one to do this planet in if it hits us.

Eros is supposed to be reckless passionate sex. Not death and destruction on a planetary scale!

My Mom was really cool...she taught us to watch the sky...lunar & solar eclipses...blood on the moon...what are called "fairy rings"...planet alignments...neato stuff!

THIS IS THE DAWNING OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS...

THE AGE OF AQUARIUS...

AQUARIUS!!!!!!!

Not to be confused with the age of Aquariums when the moon is in the third house toward the back and Venus is in the bedroom aligning with Mars! Oddly my middle name is a derivative of Mars!

You get to guess!

They're at the center of every galaxy. It's what holds the galaxies together, due to a shortage of of duct tape.
