Topic: Did the site work for you? | |

Met 9 people from other sites, and now I'm traumatized. Never met anyone from here, and all of the ones who are apparently worth meeting are 897,000 miles away. I expect this to change sometime before 2139.

I see that all the time. Guys with other girls in pix don't bother me because everyone has friends, but if in their profile they say something stupid like .... "Calm down the girl in the pic is just my ex-girlfriend" ... it makes me wonder about a couple of things. First, why feel the need to say 'calm' down to a wide audience! Oh, the drama. Second, I will assume he still has feelings for his ex and she will be a ghost in the relationship. The ex's don't need to be in the dating site portfolio. Melody well my point of view is that im not saying to calm down and that we are really good friends and she has had a positive impact on my life and if girls think that is "dramatic" then i dont want to be friends with them :) No, I didn't mean YOUR profile said that ... I've seen it in others though. I see your point that she is important to you -- that is a good thing -- but it will hurt your chances with someone new. If you click with a new girl, she will understand but don't open with that news! Best of luck!! |

you should share where you met the others lexx inquiring minds wanna know Meh, I don't really want to say anything on here that would publicize sites where I met an arsonist and a phony kidnap victim and a newspaper columnist who wanted me to write her column for her. If anybody is all THAT interested, they can drop me a line. But for the most part, the sites I'm referring to are just the "usual suspects." |

I don't give a single damn about "dating", however, I DO love my friends.
Take your pick. By the way, this is only a VERY small sampling. |

I have dated a couple from the Mutual Match thing that were not very cool. But haven't gone to any Mingle Events so can't speak to that.
But I have from other sites and had a blast. You need to take your time and use common sense but friendships can develope and be nice. I know the Methodist church surveyed their ministers at a recent conference and they reported that 80% of the people that were marrying reported that they had met on line. |
