And people wonder why I shave my head.
 I might like something to get rid of the gray in my beard though. I remember when my older brother (by 8 yrs) would color his hair and beard, a dark rich brown, and here I am much younger with all this gray on my face. Interesting though,face to face, most women don't think I am as old as I am.  |

I admit that I didn't read the whole thread, but...Oh Nooooooooo! Something like that happened to me once...
When I finally realized that I was NOT gonna "go grey with dignity"...I went shopping for hair color. I tried to find the closest shade to my natural red hair color...but it came out Flaming Riddler Red! Aaaagggghhh! And it was for my birthday, too! NEVER trust the pic on the box!

I color my hair, but decided to go a shade darker this time because it washes out into a shade of blonde..nothing against blondes, just never wanted to be one. I am not certain, 'cause my hair isn't dry yet, but...I think my hair is purple!  I'm a smurf! You couldn't pay me to dye my hair, and I never understood why so many women do it. Why can't people just feel good about themselves in stock form. You show me a room full of ladies, and i'll take the chick with the long messy hair, wore out jeans, and zero makeup every time. I do feel good about myself, but at the same time, I'd like to look my age instead of looking 20 years older because of all the grey hair I have. Ditto !! <---------- There's the outcome! It's pretty much the color I was going for. Sure hope I don't have to dye it purple again to get this color!

I don't mean to get off-topic, but I have a question for you Gypsy that I keep getting conflicting answers about. I've always read that pregnant women should not dye their hair. Recently, I just read that it's okay and that no research has been found to cause harm to the baby by doing this. The smell alone, which doesn't seem that strong not pregnant, can make you vomit violently. So what's your opinion? |
