I have one issue. How does a homeless woman travel to the conference (from my understanding, it's not where she lived though I may be wrong) and then manage to get a ticket in and on top of that, sit in the front row to ask a question? well two issues: I've heard nothing more about her other than her hardship. When Joe the Plumber came up, we knew everything about him in 48 hours and it was all over the media. Where is the investigation here? It wasn't for the womans sake. It was for his glory. Trying to show his followers he is their savior-in-chief. Not true at all, he is being an example of what Americans should be. There are people all over this country that go out of their way to help those less fortunate and they don't require the attention your savior does. The deed that you don't tell anyone about is the one that counts, in Gods eyes. Just because the woman asked him in a public forum does not imply he is an attention whore at any level. Everything Obama does from now all will be televised and reported. So basically what you are saying is that he should be private and secretive, like Bush, which will bring him more problems. No Obama is going to pay attention to those who address him and he will try to do the best he can do. Just like he told her, he will not be able to do anything right away but he understands and will keep her plight and hundreds of thousands others at heart. This is not even a valid complaint, really, just think about it. I see he's already looking out for the interests of the already rich and famous. Us po' folks is just gonna' get poorer. |

Hughes told President Obama on Tuesday she's been living in a car and she can't get any help. But WINK News found an agency who says they offered Hughes an apartment not even three weeks ago. "She lives out of a two seater truck because she desires to. That’s what she choose to do," said Tanya Johnson, Director of We Care Ministries in Fort Myers. Tanya says she's offered Henrietta Hughes help several times in recent months. "We have extended a lot of her services to her," said Johnson. According to Johnson, since December the organization has offered Hughes and her son a place to live... twice. The last time was the weekend of January 20th. Second, just because some states they offered help does not mean it was valid help for the individual. Maybe the housing was not livable. Some poor housing is just awful with mice and bugs. Better to live in your car in some cases. How can anyone say if they are not in the shoes of the person? So this is not necessarily valid either. I guess one based on their own bias' will be looking for validatation of their hatefilled agenda. But it still does not make it valid. Until I walk in her shoes I can make no judgement on her and neither should any other human being. |
