I don't know what the laws are there in Missouri, but you can't do a damn thing here in California-

In order to protect yourself from an assailant, there has to be "fear for life" present... meaning that you had to be scared for your life before you could do anything, even when it's quite obvious that there's a robber in your home. And THAT would mean that the trespasser would have have to have a weapon on him at the time of trespassing. Property theft or damage at the time mean nothing to the police.

On the other hand, Arizona's laws are a bit different- you have the right to protect yourself the second any uninvited guests show up on your property.
I believe the laws in MO have changed so that I can protect myself however I have to. Anyway, I think he was too loaded to come back. That is the first time that has happened to me. But Im calm now......


Well that's good to know. I'd make sure all your doors are locked just in case, though. scared
