I just read a book on economics and banking history. And I used a post it note for a book marker.

if its a book i own i just turn down the corner of the page i'm on,
if its a borrowed book ,i'll use whatever works pretty much , either a piece of paper folded to fit, even a playing card once lol |

I've used those tear-off subscription cards... paperclips... old business cards... the shrink-wrapped labels off of water bottles... larger sized guitar picks... just about anything I can get my hands on.
