Apparently, Etta James was NOT happy with Beyonce' Knowles for singing James' famous song,"At Last", at the inaugural ball. The 71-year-old diva even went so far as to say Knowles was "gon' get her ass kicked!" Go, Etta! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5W5ZgGrrPc

Right, but that song wasn't Etta's in the first place, she kinda did a cover of it it too which makes her comment HILARIOUS if you ask me

Technically, yes. She is not the writer of the song, but being the artist who made the song famous, I can see her point, especially considering the circumstances and the historical significance of the occasion. She wasn't even asked.

She said Obama wasn't her president either and that she hates Beyonce. She sounds so sweet. Could be a lack of fiber in her diet.

Political affiliations aside, the issue is the song. They wouldn't have had Beyonce' sing an Aretha Franklin song, or a Tina Turner song, or anybody else. They would've asked the artist themselves. They did not do that in this case.
