I woke up and took a shower and when I got out there was a huge note on the mirror telling me how much she cared, loved me, that I was all she ever wanted in a man, and how she was so lucky. That was all I needed. Until...

Two months later she was sleeping with another man...

So words are just that... words...

If you want to show me you care just be loyal and tell me how much you care every day. Holidays are over rated. If you really love someone that should be showed everyday you are together. That means pulling the chair out, opening doors, showering them with compliments, massages, and walking hand in hand no matter where you are.

If you aren't receiving those things then something is wrong and you better talk about it before things get worse. There is usually something a miss if affection isn't consistent. No smile and you think things are okay? Stop kidding yourself.
im sorry it only lasted 2 more months and i agree with you it should be all the time.. however the big note on the mirror seemed to mean something at the time... thats a token... too bad she couldnt of given you the rest!!!flowerforyou

I personally boycott this day. I feel if you truly love someone, you should show it everyday. Otherwise you should really reconsider who you are with.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say, that while I appreciate your honesty and candor and even your point of view on this matter, If a man took this attitude towards Valentine's Day, alone-on-the-couch would be the best of all possible situations in which he could hope to find himself sleeping that night...

I speak from personal experience...

I have had romantic valentine's days and not so much. One year I got 1 carat diamond earrings. And although they were very pretty and I really liked them, the valentine's day that I enjoyed the most is when my boyfriend at the time and I went bowling. It was nothing specially planned, we just thought having fun together doing something totally different from the norm would be a nice change of pace. (By the way, the guy who gave me the diamonds fessed up that he only did it because he knew I didn't like valentine's day and he was soooooooo sure it would insure that he got laid. He confessed when it didn't happen due to the fact that the restaurant he made reservations at conveniently lost the reservation and we had to wait 2 hours for dinner.)

Valentines day is a lot of BUNK.. whats special.. every night and every morning telling the person your next to ...That you love them.. Why? its what in your heart. And gives you that peace and tranquilty that allows you to be able to freely express those words each and every time.

I bought my boyfriend a pair of new Harley boots and tires for his motorcycle. The very nice ones because I will be riding on the back of it all the way to Sturgis S.D. from Indiana and want to be comfortable.

i look around and it is so targeted twords the
man to buy something a token so to speak for the woman.....i myself beleive that you should share your love all yr long... its very hard for a woman to think of a token gift of appreciation for their man on valentines day...

so heres the question... Men what do you think is romantic to recieve on Valentines Day?

Or women what have you given your special valentine on valentines day that they seemed to really like?

 Valentines Day (like all holidays) is a capatalistic money making scam if you need one specific day to tell the person you love..."i love you" than it probably isn't real love be seeing you
