My profile says i have one new message, but when i go there it then says mailbox empty, it is always like this, it thinks there is an unread mess. but then tells me its empty. how can i delete what is not there

It's still there. The real question, as you probably sent a nastygram to someone and blocked after sending, is... Do you really want to know what it says?

close all windows (Your desktop window pages ) and re-login. I am sure it will help you.

Welcome to the site, jeff306. The "phantom" mail that you are seeing is probably an email that you would have received from a scammer, somebody else who got banned, or somebody that you blocked. The email indicator does have a known bug under those circumstances, but it should go away on its own in a while.
