sure they can,
think of the small kids who take field trips to nursing homes and sit and visit with the elderly they've made a big difference in those peoples lives, think of one person who had an idea and did everything they could to get that idea off the ground and did something great that one scientist or doctor who found a cure or medication formula to help relieve or eliminate a horrible disease one person can make a difference just by having an idea and then making it happen |

I worked for Hospice for over a year. Time and time again I had people thanking me for making a difference in people's last days. Instead I found that the dignity that people have when faced with their own mortality made a huge difference in MY life.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
—Margaret Mead "Can we change the world? No, but hell we can all try." —Rupert Murdoch He describes himself as a "catalyst for change". Gandhi made peaceful protest and peaceful civil disobedience a valuable process of peaceful change. Susan B. Anthony rose to the challenge as a famous leader of the battle to obtain women’s right to vote in the U.S. The Illuminati owners of text book publishers do not want students to realize that important improvements can begin with ONE PERSON; this is why the text books have been rewritten to discuss movements and not individuals. ONE PERSON who is truly passionate about his or her mission CAN MAKE a difference. To encourage all of us to see that we each do have the power to make a difference. One librarian who decided to stop a huge media conglomerate from destroying a book, “Stupid White Men”, written by Michael Moore. The librarian knew that a publisher destroying a book was as anti-free speech as Hitler and his book burning. Publishers care about what librarians think because librarians are responsible for choosing what books to purchase for their libraries each year; the librarian knew she had a reason and right to take action. The librarian made the decision to rally the troops and she was victorious. |

Gerritt, Age 11
Amazing Young Designer of verymeri Anti-Bullying T-Shirt “Be Buddies, Not Bullies!” Our August 2008 Amazing Kid! of the Month: Bullying is a serious problem in many schools across the nation, affecting thousands of children each year. Last year, the Summit View School, a school for children with learning differences in Culver City, California adopted a unique approach to raise awareness and understanding about this problem. Among other things, it asked its students to design a t-shirt to promote an anti-bullying message. Little did the teachers and students know that the winning t-shirt designed by eleven year old Summit View student Gerritt would inspire an amazing anti-bullying movement that is beginning to spread to schools across America. |

I am the President of the Woman's Club here in my town. We are the oldest women's club in the state of Calif. We have been around since 1929. Last year we did 34 projects both for the community as well as internationally. We spent a total of 3,455 hours and spent more then 53,000.00. Just to give an example at this last meeting. We sponsored one of our members we have 12 to go to Africa to build an orphanage, playground. We gave her $1,000.00. We voted that we will be doing the Relay for Life for research of breast cancer cure. We will raise about 15,000.00 and made donations to 3 different battered Woman's shelters. Pretty good stuff for 12 women. All the monies we spend we raise ourselves on different community outreach projects. |
