Her parents thought that was weird that I would want to take her to dinner esp w/o my son. I'd feel that way too, if I was her mom. I want to get to know her. Maybe do it when your son is around, at first. Get to know her that way, then slowly get to know her on her own. Seems more appropriate than just jumping in. I would like to get her a birthday present. What should I buy her that saids you are special to me because you are special to my son? What would be an appropriate gift? She will be 16. Thanks everyone I would keep it light and non threatening. You hardly know her. What about an inexpensive "sweet 16" charm? |
