I have 2 xd cards for my olympus fe 130 digital camera. The problem is that my camera broke and now I cannot use my camera cards. I do not want to buy another olympus but instead want a canon powershot. Is there any way I can still use my xd cards if the canon only takes sd cards? I called the canon company up and they told me canons do not accept xd cards. I want the canon sd powershot. If anyone knows a solution i would appreciate it.

If Canon told you the xd won't work with the camera, you will have to go buy the ones that fit the new camera.

Sell the cards to someone who has the olympus and buy the new card for the powershot.
BTW.....how's the job hunting going? |

I thought you meant they were new cards. Go to a camera store and ask the guy behind the counter if there is some way the pictures can be downloaded to disk for the computer. (Don't go to Walmart and ask....they won't know) |

They have card readers at the stores, just pop em in and print out your pics or put have them put them on a cd for ya. thanks This is what I found at the Walmart site. If you don't have Internet access to upload your pictures, you can use the in-store Photo Centers found at most Wal-Mart stores to upload pictures to your Digital Photo Center account. 1. Visit a participating Wal-Mart and locate the Photo Center 1 Hour kiosk. 2. Follow the instructions to insert your disk, memory stick or other media. 3. Agree to the copyright statement to view your photos. 4. Select the pictures you want to upload to the website. 5. Enter your contact information. 6. Select the option to upload your photos to the website. 7. Take the claim card printed by the kiosk. 8. The next time you visit Walmart.com, sign in or create an account at the Photo Center and click the "Claim a Roll" link in the Get Started box. 9. Enter the information from your claim card to view your photos. I'm not sure if "other media" refers to cards, but I would say it does. If not, I bet someone you know has a card reader on their computer or printer. My printer has 4 slots for different sized cards. I think there is a good chance you can get your pics off the cards, one way or another. Your camera won't power up? If you turn it on and plug in your usb cord, it may go ahead and upload your pics at least. I'd try that first. |

Some memory card manufacturers make xD card adapters that will allow xD cards to be used with digital cameras that use SD cards. Some of them are pretty cheap too- you can get one for between ten and twenty bucks. |

If your cards are removable (most are), simply remove them and put them in a card reader slot. you can download them a=or burn them to deisc, format your cards and sell them.
