haha These idiots risk a possible felony conviction for the theft of Bud?

I love how this reporter sort of sneers at these thieves as well.

Offbeat: Have you seen me? -- Beer thieves on candid camera
by Bryn Mickle | The Flint Journal

Two guys who walked out of a Richfield Township party store without paying for four cases of Budweiser under their arms are that much closer to getting caught.

The pair made no attempt to disguise themselves during the Nov. 18 heist at Heidi's Market on State Road and fresh surveillance pics are making the rounds.

They should get caught just based on the fact they risked a criminal record for Budweiser of all beers.

Anyone with info can call township police at (810) 653-0391.

Bryn Mickle is the afternoon police reporter for The Flint Journal. He also writes this weekly "Offbeat" column about the police beat. He can be reached at (810) 766-6383 or by e-mail.

kids back when I was in high school used to do this, they called it "wahooing beer"

no one ever got convicted on felony charges.. I remember one bunch of kids got their @sses whipped by a store owner and half his family one night but no one, to my knowledge ever got arrested, much less convicted..

it's beer for goodness sakes..

Same thing happen in my town, except the thief had a gun and killed the clerk that chased after him. Death penalty for a case of beer. Think it was Miller in this case.

Proof positive that people are just STUPID!

Damn, if they can not get any stupider, they do!

At least some of us are smart enough to not be THAT Stupid!

Stealing Budweiser??

Those are some classy thieves!

I would have stolen Imported beer if anything! Leave the beer flavored water behind! That and four cases? That's thinking big!

Imported beer does not equal good beer although I think the Europeans have brewing on whole that is much better than American brewing..

I've been a home brewer off and on for about twenty-five years and am a real fan. There are some really excellent craft brews out now. Do they cost too much? Yes I think so.

Home brewing allows one to make a really fine beverage at a low cost. Don't buy one of those pricey brewing kits folks. Go get Charlie Papazian, master brewer's book The Complete Joy of Homebrewing Third Edition (Harperresource Book) It's a rewarding and intoxicating hobby. If you can cook you can brew!

What constitutes good beer is subjective. Each drinker has qualities they look for in beer. In the winter I like a dark malty beer while in the summer I favor a hop heavy IPA.

At my folks house I might drink a bud.

Beer...even bad beer...well you know beer is like pizza and sex. Some might be better than others but it's still beer...and some beer is better than no beer!! HA HA

I could not agree with you more! I have had foreign beer that was HORRID tasting. Still, even Mexican beers can be good.
Corona: PISS WATER!
Cerveca Modelo Negro: Good Stuff
Pacifico Clara: A lighter beer but where Corona falls short this one takes up all of the slack. This is a good Mexican Beer.
Tecate: It's OK but it NEEDS lime and salt.

Now I have drank Sam Adams but it tastes too syrupy too me.
Sierra Mountain Brewing has several real good micro brews. Anchor Steam is not bad as well.
I had a Micro Brew called Grizzly Piss that was a real experience. It was good but man it was strong and heady...
Bud, Miller, Coors are all mass produced canned piss water beers.

My personal favorite is Grolsh. I also like Erlanger a lot. I used to get my hands on a beer called "China Sweet" which used Pinaeapple juice but damn if that was not some tasty beer! It was very different. Oddly there is an Israely beer as well called Maccabe. It was surprisingly good as well.

The all time best beer I ever drank though was called Shaffbier from Germany. Trader Joe's had it for a short time and I bought as much as I could. It was hands down the best I ever drank!

Best beer I've had that's produced here in the States is Yeungling Lager. Sucks though that it's only availble in a few states, Texas not being one of them.

Another really good one is Ziegen Bock. Their Motto is 'Only Texans Get It' because it's not available outside the Lone Star State.. bigsmile

Andy said Pacifico is good. I concur.

Longhammer IPA is good as is Sierra Nevade IPA

A really good microbrew out of cental Texas is http://www.realalebrewing.com.

Slainte!

Yeah it is called stealing.

The store owner will take that loss. File an insurance claim? Up go the rates. If you aren't a chain store...even if you are...well we all know how that goes.

Random thoughts....

I have a friend in Boston who chuckles about that idiots in bars who went to all the best schools who buy PBR 'cause they think it's a working mans beer. Or Sam Adams people...it's brewed by license by Miller...

PBR better than Bud...yeah you could make that argument hehe
