There is a place in me that has never been touched, closely guarded and , I thought , out of reach. Yet there is one who did touch it and took me by surprise, because I was not expecting it at all and now that she has , the walls have become dust and the vault that kept me safe rusted away. Not fearing or hesitating, rather comfortable and warm , my hiding place has become a place of celebration instead of foreboding. I am laid bare from my refuge in her eyes and fear not the coming storm but welcome it with open arms, heart and mind.

That there is a Valentine's Day to remember.
