I think blondes get a bad rap for being ditzy or air-headed. As for being "accommodating" I don't think it matters what color hair you have. That's like the old saying, "Men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses." It's rubbish.

I have never heard that....

It doesn't get used much anymore. It was something said often several decades ago.

The phrase was made popular by American writer and poet Dorothy Parker (August 22, 1893–June 7, 1967). It's a quote from her book Collected Poems: Not So Deep As A Well in 1936.

alrighty

in your experience are blondes more accommodating to their mates than brunettes?

I have yet to see any sort of correlation, although I have only had about a dozen blonde girlfriends, so the statistical sampling is lacking.

That was (mostly) a long time ago, back when I was strenuously involved in music -- it was so much easier back then! -- but the vast majority of my relationships have been with brunettes, and among THEM, there were hugely varying degrees of accommodation. I don't have a thing with which to back this up, but my guess is that it's totally a case-by-case situation, and has little, if anything to do with hair color.

But I could be wrong....

in a statement i made earlier in here i typed that the blonde women i dated seemed"nicer"that was more like coincidence if anything...i agree though i don't really see the color of a womans hair having anything to do with their persona or intelligence.

I hear women saying, all the time, "Well, I had a blonde moment," meaning they did something silly or stupid -- referencing an old stereotype that, in my experience, anyway, has no formative basis in reality --

But if one assumes the stereotype to be true, one might extrapolate from that a circumstance under which a blonde might tend to be more accommodating than other women, simply because there is an assumption that she's not as intelligent....? -- i.e., easier to lead, direct, instruct....? And more willing to be led....?

I don't know -- I still don't think there's any REAL correlation. Maybe the blondes in the "dumb blonde jokes" would be more accommodating because that's inherent in the nature of the joke persona. I don't see any application to real life, though.

Blones vs all the others? hmmm well it really doesn't matter. Eventually it will turn gray, thin, or all together disappear....

but then women dye their hair in a vain attempt to be? haha didn't go there!

hair color has N O T H I N G to do with one's personality

sure it does....

for instance if you dye you hair....the color choice the upkeep....all reflect on an aspect of your personality

how you want to appear to others and to yourself... that says a great deal about you personality
