What's the real, honest to goodness reason everyone on here joined mingle? You know, stuff like just can't seem to find anyone in person, just wanted to try out the online thing, girlfriend/boyfriend just broke up with you, just trying to meet new people, you know, stuff like that. What are all of your reasons behind joining?

Initially, to find a date...found a couple, now I don't want a date.

I originally signed up here to find myself a person with whom I could talk to and share my affections with, as well as someone I could face the world with.
Since that hasn't panned out, I'm just here to goof off, I guess. |

I was checking out free sites......for free stuff in the mail and my trigger happy mouse accidently clicked on the site. I had no use for dating anyone at the time but I found I enjoyed the forums and stayed.

I initially joined hoping that it would make things a little easier for me to find some local girls to just hang out with and even try and make some friends around here. I'm having a really hard time doing that in person and I guess I was kind of hoping this would help me out some.

The unfortunate thing about the online stuff is that it's about the same as trying to meet people in person- you go through the same pitfalls, the same disappointments, and the same problems. You've only changed everything over to an online format instead of an in-person one.

I was looking for a chatroom. I used to belong to a chatroom that segregated stuff into appropriate rooms by topic, age, etc.
Found this place, and it's cool. |

We also don't expect to be jerked around by flakes and those incapable to making up their mind of what they want, which happens a lot of the time here.
We'd probably have better luck with dial-a-date. |

What are all of your reasons behind joining? I gave up finding intelligent life in my local area and thought maybe I'd find some online. The Jury's still out on that one, but I seem to be making friends. What, you thought I was joking in my headline?
