Do you enjoy the finer foods and drinks in life if you have the chance to have them?

For example: A expensive Cognac, or some organic high priced blackberry Jam, or maybe some European chocolate that is only prepared once a year, or some wine that you can only get certain times of the year.

Maybe a fine dining restaurant experience.

What is it that you sometimes spoil yourself with when you have the chance concerning drink or food?

Nope. If anything, I tend to avoid the higher-class establishments and food joints, as the type of people who frequent such places are typically rather arrogant as all hell.

Gimme a good ol' greasy spoon and a pint of Guinness any day.

I do enjoy fine cheeses and wines but what I never buy but I want.....are those beautiful bouquets of flowers I see. I stare at them......long for them and I can even afford them but I find it silly to buy something like that for myself.ohwell

I enjoy 'em on occasion, but I enjoy the enjoyment of others more - that's the only way 'cause I just like it simple. But a chick who appreciates fine things - simple of complex - that's a purty danged warm sensation!

it is important to understand both worlds.. to enjoy the fruits of each...

I will indulge when appropriate or mandated

occasionally because it struck me that I wanted that whatever it may be...however it MUST be worth the price I pay.. and I can usually tell quality..so long as it does not involve people noway

Only if its free. I tend to spend my money on other things that seem to hold more value in my life.
My best meal would be a nice rib-eye, mashed sweet potatoes, some creamed spinach, a nice chef salad with a crafted Beer to wash it down. Oh and a piece of double crusted hot peach pie with a scoop of Vanilla on it.
Dunno if any off that high priced stuff could satisfy like that.

Earth Goddess salad dressing is the best "fine food" that I really enjoy...except for a rack of great ribs...and fruits/veggies fresh from the field.

Not that I can't enjoy a 'fine' meal and/drink, but I like fresh and healthy foods best...no fuss, no muss...

Steak and Lobster once in while is my treat. I usually pay for it for one of my special friends and we have a yummy treat together.

NOT silly at all! BUY THEM!! I buy myself flowers regularly...just an inexpensive but cheerful bouquet and they make me happy. Some at home...sometimes some at the office, if I'm going to be spending a lot of time at my desk - it's WORTH IT because I am worth it! Try it...because YOU are worth it too!

Agreed, if you don't think you are worth it, chances are, nobody else will either. I enjoy a fine French wine with my Big Mac.
