Has anyone else been watching this show? Mondays on ABC. I know, I know it's yet another reality show. But I'm looking beyond that and watching because of the premise. I find it rather fascinating. I wish that it were on at an earlier time. It could used as a great teaching tool for parents and open up dialogue with our children.

I will admit that it has alot of the reality tv sensationalism to it but the overall premise of the show is quite good. If it had been done somewhat differently and on at an earlier time I would have used it as a teaching tool for my children. I only hope that the people that are being taken off the show every week learn something from it and become better people.

I've been watching it.
Love the premise, but man did they pick some arrogant people to be on it. Obviously if they weren't arrogant, it wouldn't be fun to watch.
CJ's going to win.

Cj does seem to be the one with the most heart. He's got a touch of laziness though that he displayed at this past week's challenge. Hopefully he'll bounce back from that. So far, I'm routin for him myself.

I am not a reality tv fan...okay...I will admit to occasionally watching Wife Swap.

It's a great reminder of why not to marry!

One thing I do wish they'd include in the show is a requirement that they actually...oh never mind...my inner pervert is talking there...

At any rate, I think you are right on Redbeans about having a discussion with your children about true beauty and the media. Maybe you should post this in the parenting thread as well.

I have to admit it's the one reality show out there that could actually have some value as a teaching tool. The rest are just voyeourism and hype.
I think I will put this in parenting and see if it sparks more interest. Thanks for the suggestion Lyn!

While CJ's obviously not perfect, non of us are, so for that reason, it almost seems scripted. (That whole pretending to work for a charity will leave a nasty taste in my mouth for a while.)
If one of the contestants were perfect, we'd shake our heads in disbelief, and think that perfection's unobtainable, therefore not strive to be better people ourselves?
This week, when the girl who was supposed to be dressing them for the sports photo shoot was crying... I may have tried to console her a little, but I'm SO against a woman crying at work. You have to keep your personal and professional life in check. Her crying at work over her boyfriend was completely unacceptable. (I get that it can happen, but they didn't have the actress even TRY to compose herself.
So I felt that "challenge" was questionable.

Cj surprized me this week. I really thought that he would go all the way. I will have to watch next week to choose who I'm gonna cheer for now.
