dining at a restaurant alone? Lunches, no big deal. Usually on a timer anyway. For take out dinners no worries... actually eating at a sit down style restaurant for dinner solo? no. Most of the time, the things we need to do are uncomfortable to do, at first. It's truly near impossible to find and be a new friend to someone from the confines of my own castle. Get outside your comfort zone. Get into someone else's.

I don't dine alone I always have one of my kids or sisters with me on the weekdays and my boyfriend on the weekend. If there are days that I find myself alone I would just order take out. I HATE TO COOK!

dining at a restaurant alone? No, do not feel comfortable at all. Heck, I just barely got used to going to the matinee movies alone. Besides living on your own, it's too expensive to be going out to just eat. I have to count every penny nowadays. |

I'm sure there are other places you can go, with say, a bag lunch, and hang out amongst potential friends? Shy or not, we are all social creatures. |

I can't even go to the movies alone let alone sit in a restaurant without at least having some friend there with me!

I sit and talk to myself and have a wonderful dinner conversation..... people just look......I laugh and enjoy my dinner. Why would I feel uncomfortable.....??
