i was riding going about 45 to 50 mph and this chick turned left right in front of me. i hit her broad side totaling the bike, the front end is now apart of the side of the bike:(

i was thrown and slid about 40 to 50 feet. i didn't have my helmet on and was super lucky cause i didn't hit my head.

got some bad road rash on my left arm and shoulder, my left leg hurts and so does my right hand/forearm. i was wearing a short sleeved shirt with my vest and a pair of pants. i even lost my left shoe which was found underneath the bike.

the chick didn't even come over and see if i was alright or to say she was sorry. i went to go see what damage i did to her SUV and i asked if she was ok and she sneered at me and said no.

she got the ticket and admitted to seeing me and turned anyways thinking she could make the turn.

i am hoping her insurance pays for my bike and gives enough to get another bike.

OMG, I'm glad you're ok! Especially since you weren't wearing a helmet.

I ride every day to work and back, and it seems every day I have some kind of close encounter.

Hope it works out... gotta get back on as soon as you can!

ya me too..

an 05 suzuki boulevard which i was turning into a bobber..

my seat actually saved my life today. i do custom seats and they ride real low..with a normal seat i would have flown over the handle bars and through her window but my seat saved me from doing just that.

noway I'm glad you are going to be OK, but I bet you are hurting. She sounds like a self centered rude person. It would not have mattered whose "fault" it was, I still would have been concerned 1st for your condition. I try to be very aware of bikes on the road & give them plenty of room. I won't ride one in traffic, I'm scared to death of the oncoming cars.

I'd go and get a really slimy, smarmy attorney and sue her ass. Make her think twice before she cuts another motorcyclist off like that on the road again.

I remember being stopped while in a parking lot when I got backed into by some blue-hair in a mid-nineties Buick Regal (the weapon of choice of octogenarian road-warriors, you know)- she was backing out of her stall and didn't bother to look behind her if anyone was there... which there was.

She had the nerve to ask if I hit her! I told her that there's only two directions a car can go- forward and reverse. And since I was stopped in an aisle waiting for another blue-hair to get out of HER stall, the chances of me running into anything was slim to none.

She copped a 'tude with me and simply drove out of the lot instead of exchanging insurance info with me, too.

So it just goes to show- don't play nice with idiots who cause you physical or vehicular damage while on the road. Get a lawyer and take the offending party to town.

It's a jungle out there. Glad to hear you're relatively ok. Never had that bad of a spill. I'm sure you consider yourself lucky.

Ride safe!

Did you go to a doctor? I agree with not getting an attorney, unless it becomes necessary. If you go to the doctor, you may be able to get more for "pain and suffering". Just sayin'.

That's not the point- not only did that wench put YOUR life and property in jeopardy, she got downright rude about it, too. If nothing else, it shows that she has NO regard for other drivers/riders out there, and she'd probably do it again if she could get away with it.

It's not about being nice- it's about getting restitution for your injuries and damages. So get as much as you can from her, case closed.

Gamma....will you please get the record of the accident copied and go see a doctor? Get checked out?
I'm old.
Okay?
I've been thru a few things.
Get things checked...double-checked...and a follow-up.
This isn't about her insurance. It is about your future.
There's some people that will love you, in years ahead of now, and they will be glad that you took care of yourself after this accident.
