OOooo, where you heading? More importantly...is there work there?

I am moving to Oregon City. Its twenty miles away and closer to my folks. And, yes, it has a more industrial base than here. Which doesn't say much.

Well something is better than nothing....
Dad's eye surgery went well and now Mom just has to make sure he doesn't sneak outside without his big sunglasses and try to bend down to shovel snow like he did the day of the surgery when he got home.  |

He had to go in for an endoscopy,(down the throat) test the other day and then on Friday he goes for the scope in the other end...
  ....to make sure there isn't anymore cancer in the colon. If that comes back clear, he can start on the chemo, they put the port in last week.

I sounds like he is getting fairly good care. How are you dealling with it?

 Pat, I'm trying to deal and thinking I am doing good ........then something else comes up and smacks me in the back of the head... Like tonight, Mom called and told me my cousin in NH was found dead in his apartment, not sure how long he was dead yet. |

He was having a really tough time lately.....his health went down hill and at 42 he needed both hips replaced, then he started drinking, his marriage fell apart. About 18 months ago, his only son was killed in a car accident coming home from a college party...he was sober, the driver wasn't.
