 it bugs me when someone out of the blue calls me sweety, baby, love, excuse me but im not in a relationship with that person.. only person i would feel that had any right to call me that would be the guy im with.. |

Actually it is a term of endearment, I am sure no disrespect was ment by that.
I do it all the time myself probably cuz I was a waitress for so long, sometimes I don't even realize I do it. its just a friendly name and nothing is meant by it |

i would have to agree with to a certain point, see i use those terms as like a term of endearment towards somebody i have been talking to. usually i sitck to sweety or hun but there are times when i have used baby. now i say that if a woman does not like it, let me know and it wont happen again...

I have a friend that owns a store and he always says "Thank you sweetie" to every pretty lady that checks out, and is totally oblivious to the looks he gets from that. I'm just waiting for some lady to blow a gasket on him.
