Best show on TV. Ever.
Electromagnetism causes the island to appear invisible. Electro magnets are actually able to bend light. Discovered by the real-life Faraday, Michael Faraday. The "time machine" is switched on and engages the electromagnetic power. Our brains also function on electromagnetism as well (at least in theory) and we all know what kind of force two magnetic powers have with each other when they are placed near each other, LOTS of force. This force is probably what causes the nosebleeds and eventually death. If you paid attention during the season 4 finale, you'll hear the Dharma leader state that while the time-shift process is taking place, the rabbit will appear to have disappeared. Locke doesn't have a God complex. Locke is a philosopher, just like his namesake. I wouldn't want to leave the island either if I were a paraplegic and all the sudden realized the island healed me. He realized the great abilities of the island immediately, but no one else did, so they don't understand him and his fascination with the island. If only he would have pointed out to them that he was paralyzed before, but he's never told anyone. Ben isn't Whitmore's son... he was born on another episode remember? To the Work Man alcoholic jerk that he kills later in the bus... that Hurley found. BUT! HIS mother died during childbirth... HMMM... just like the other mothers from the island! Of course, it's not like I've gotten to read the script or anything so these are just my theories. So many connections from so many angles. Very complex story line. I can't wait to find out what kind of civilization built the 4-toed statue. |

I suggested that Whidmore and Ben might be related cause it fit the father complex so many on the island have...Maybe Whidmore and Ben are related some other way? The father who appears in the story -line doesn't necesarily have to be his REAL father... I felt the island was invisible at times - it would explain so much...the electromagnetic thing occured to me when they fist found the rope on the beach! It is fascinating stuff! And that foot statue Haunts me!!!

Another twist... "he" is alive after all. What will Sun do now? Tune in next week... ANOTHER WEEK OF WAITING!!! NOOOOO!!!
Note, if anyone on this show has a God complex, it's Jack. He thinks he can fix everything. Very common among highly skilled surgeons. He is the "Shepherd" after all. |
