How long will your heart stay broken after a relationship? Will it last forever or does it really mend?

How long will your heart stay broken after a relationship? Will it last forever or does it really mend? well if my heart is broken from a relationship ending it can take a long long time.I never forget them. For example when my husband died it took about 10 years before I can say I was honestly ready for a new relationship.The on the other hand a guy I dated over the summer when we broke it off I was so done that I can say I just missed his friendship I can't say I missed the relationship. I also believe it takes alot to break my heart since I take very good care of it and I choose very carefully who I let in.
