Fox Studios was gonna make a motion-picture version of "Firefly" at one point, but the studios couldn't get enough "forward momentum" (meaning interest) going on the project. I believe they went ahead with "The Watchmen" instead.

They did make a movie based off 'Firefly' it was called "Serenity" It's kinda not the same. Fox Studios had the rights to an actual "Firefly" movie, while "Serenity" (while VERY similar) is kinda different. That's why Universal put the movie out- it's not a "Firefly" movie, technically. |
